"Such a friendly and lovely receptionist, I think her name was Silvia. Also the best scale and polish I ever had! The attention to detail was incredible."
"Unfortunately I forgot the name of the dentist, she did an excellent service (hygiene with Airflow). Highly recommended!"
"I moved from another local dentist because of a bad experience and I’ve enjoyed a very positive experience so far. Lovely reception staff, communicative and understanding dentist, and a hygienist with a really gentle touch"
Yes. If your dentist says scaling is clinically needed, it’s Band 1; complex gum care may be Band 2.
Scale & polish uses ultrasonic/hand instruments plus polishing. Airflow/GBT uses a warm water, air and powder jet to remove biofilm and surface stains, including around braces/implants.
Hygiene removes surface stains (looks brighter). It doesn’t change intrinsic tooth shade—ask about whitening after your clean.
Most patients are comfortable; let us know if you have sensitivity—we can adjust settings, use warm water and desensitising strategies.
Brush twice daily with 1,350–1,500 ppm fluoride toothpaste; spit, don’t rinse; clean between teeth daily.
Typically 30 minutes for routine hygiene; periodontal care requires longer or multiple visits (we’ll advise individually).
Most adults benefit from twice-yearly hygiene; higher-risk patients (history of gum disease, smokers, orthodontic/implant patients) may need more frequent maintenance.
If gums are inflamed, bleed when brushing, or pockets are present, your hygienist/dentist may recommend periodontal therapy (longer visits targeting the root surfaces). Gingivitis is reversible with good care.
