For many years silver amalgam fillings have been the most common way to repair cavities. Although highly effective they can be easily visible when the mouth is open while laughing or talking. White fillings are becoming more and more popular as they can repair teeth almost invisibly while still being durable and strong.
Also known as tooth coloured fillings, they are made from a composite resin that can match your natural tooth colour for an almost seamless result. The new filling will also restore normal function back to the tooth and protect it from further decay.
Your dentist will initially examine your teeth to determine the most appropriate treatment for you. If a white filling is required then you will be given a local anaesthetic before the decay is carefully removed and the surrounding area cleaned.
The cavity is then filled with the natural tooth coloured composite, which is subsequently hardened under a special UV light and polished for the final result.
"Had a very positive encounter with Dr Alexandra Brycke for a few fillings. She was very cheerful, helpful and professional.
The team at the front desk were also professional and very competent. Would thoroughly recommend this place."

"Fantastic Dentist, so friendly and caring. Always happy to chat away to you to take your mind off having dental treatment, which is particularly comforting when you have to have a filling, as I did on this occasion. (Usually the thing that most people dread)!
Completely puts you at ease whilst continuously checking on your to make sure you are not in any discomfort. He is also very thorough, and professional too.
The end result seems to be a very smooth neat filling. Very happy, thank you"
